My art is about building illusions of depth and space – recognizable patterns, removed from their context, transformed to otherworldly, yet familiar landscapes. They are something between organic and non organic, abstract and figurative. I create mainly abstract art, using oil, and acrylics, dry pastels and digital techniques. Painting for me is a meditative and calming process. Filling large canvases with the smallest brushes, I take my time and immerse myself in the subtle movement. I wish to deliver same meditative and calming feeling from my works I have during the painting process. Through my art I find peace and control over the otherwise chaotic and uncertain life. I create the rules, and make the decisions. I create something that wasn’t there before, and something no one else would have.
